General Conditions for Online Sales
theageofadolescence.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Website” is edited by and belongs to Monsieur Bartok Paris, a SARL company with a capital of 3000 euros, whose registered office is located at 4 rue Charles Dickens, 75016 Paris, registered under the n° 753 478 411 to the RCS of Paris, with a VAT registration n° FR13 753 478 411 (hereinafter referred to as the “Seller”).
The General Conditions of Sales (hereinafter referred to as the “General Conditions” detailed below govern the contractual relations between the seller and any non-professional user of the website (hereinafter referred to as the “User” or the “Client”) and any order of products completed by the client on the website. These General Conditions are accessible at any time on the Website and are the sole applicable and prevail over any other general conditions non-agreed by the Seller.
The Client is considered to have read and accepted, fully and unreservedly, these General Conditions before any online order. These General Conditions apply to each order and purchase from the website at the date of the order.
The Seller has the power to modify its General Conditions of sale at any time. In this case, the applicable General Conditions are those in force on the date of the order by the Customer. It is accepted that the Client must read the General Conditions before placing an order on the Website. By agreeing to these General Conditions, the Client represents that he is a non-professional person who is at least the age of majority in the Client state of residence and has full legal capacity.
It is forbidden to use the Website to purchase Products for the purpose of resale. The Seller reserves the right to refuse any order the Client place on the Website. The Seller may, in his sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or order.
I-Product
The Products offered for sale are those described on the Website at the date of consultation of the Website by the Client and are covered by these General Conditions.
A description of the Products is made with the greatest possible accuracy (color, technical characteristics, sizes, etc.) and possibly accompanied by a photography.
The photographs of the Products are as faithful as possible but cannot ensure a perfect similarity with the Product offered, in particular concerning the colors. They are not contractual and do not bind the Seller.
II- Product Availability
The Products can be on “made to order”. They are in production and yet available for purchase. These Products will be sent to the Client as soon as the stock is ready.
The Products are those which appear on the Website, within the limit of available stocks. It will not be possible to complete the order process if the Product is not available.
III- Price
The prices displayed on the Website are indicated in euros including VAT. VAT means Value Added Tax and is the one applicable on French territory. The delivery costs are not included in those prices and come in addition.
The delivery costs are charged at the end of the order, in addition to the price of the Products selected.
The Seller reserves the right to modify the prices at any time, it being understood, however, that the price appearing on the site on the day of the order will be the only one applicable to the Client.
IV- Order
Any order completed on the Website constitutes express agreement of the General Conditions of Sale and constitutes acceptance of the prices and products available for sale.
After having chosen the Products (size and quantity) and submitted her/his order, the Client must first enter her/his email, then her/his name, first name, delivery address, billing address, birth date and phone number. The delivery address will determine the cost of the shipping. The Client must review the accuracy of these informations.
The Client must then choose the delivery method if applicable.
The Client must choose her/his payment method and make the payment for the order. The contract binding her/him to the Seller is concluded when the payment is made.
Any error or inaccuracy of the order shall be reported immediately by the Client.
The Client receives an e-mail summarizing the content of her/his order: order number, list of products ordered, delivery method, number of the banking transaction.
This document must be kept by the Client.
V- Payment and Security
The price is fully payable when the order is placed. The same applies to pre-order.
The Seller accept payment by:
- Credit card – Visa, Maestro, Carte Bleue, MasterCard.
- PayPal
The Seller only uses protected connection (HTTPS on all the Website). The payment service is provided by Stripe. It complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) and not data is stored on the Seller’s servers.
To control the security of the transactions, The Seller reserves the right to require the Client, in certain cases, to provide additional information (ID copy, address) to confirm the order.
The shipment of products depends on receipt of payment by the Seller.
VI- Delivery & Shipping
The Seller does ship in a limited list of countries for now, due to Covid-19 restrictions and shipping costs. If the country of the Client is not listed in the list below, the Client can contact the Seller at contact@theageofadolescence.com.
- European Union: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden.
- United States of America and Canada
All the shipments inside the European Union are net of tax. For other countries, the Client is responsible for payment of all taxes on receipt of the parcel under the laws applicable in the country of destination.
The “made to order” items are shipped 25-35 business days after the order. Ready-to-ship products are shipped 4-5 business days after the order.
The time of delivery varies due to the courier selected by the Client at checkout. The Seller is not responsible for any delays after shipping or damages during the shipping.
Due to the Covid-19 situation, the estimated date of delivery is the responsibility of couriers.

However, and under the provisions of Articles L138-2 and 138-3 of the Code de laConsommation (French Consumer Code), for lack of delivery at the expiration of a period of thirty days from the following day on which the customer placed his order, the Client will have the possibility of cancelling her/his order free of charge. The amounts which have been withdrawn from her/him will be reimbursed no later than fourteen days following the date of termination of the contract, save for any compensation or deduction.
Upon receipt of the order, the Client must check the conformity of the productsreceived in the execution of her/his order. Any anomaly concerning the delivery (missing or damaged products) must be notified within 14 days of receipt of the products to the Seller at contact@theageofadolescence.com:

VII- Transfer of Ownership & Transfer of Risks
The Products remain the property of the Seller until full payment of the price by the Client to the Seller.
Under Article L138-4 of the Code de la Consommation (French Consumer Code), any risk of loss or damage to the property is transferred to the Client when She/He or a third party designated by her/him, and other than the carrier proposed by the professional, takes physical possession of these goods.
VIII-Right of Withdrawal
The Client has the right to withdraw from this contract without giving any reason within fourteen days. The withdrawal period expires fourteen days after the day on which the Client, or a third party other than the carrier and designated by the Client, takes physical possession of the last good.
The Client must notify the Seller of her/his decision to withdraw from this contract using unambiguous statement by email at contact@theageofadolescence.com or by mail at:

The Client must send back to the Seller the products in their original packaging, with tagged attached and labels at the address mentioned above. The Seller will not accept washed, damaged, soiled or incomplete products.
The refund to the Client is expected 10-15 days after the return of the products to the Seller due to bank process.
All returns are free.
IX- Returns and Exchanges
For returns, within 14 days of delivery, the Client must send an email to contact@theageofadolescence.com with the following details:
1. Name, Adress, Order Number ;
2. The item the Client wants to return and why (wrong size, default, etc.) If the item is defective the Client is asked, if possible, to include a picture. All items must be in original conditions, with tags attached, labels and packaging.
The customer care service will contact the Client in 1-2 business days. The refundsare expected 10-15 days after the return of the products due to bank process.
For exchanges, within 14 days of delivery, the Client must send an email to contact@theageofadolescence.com with the following details:
1. Name, Adress, Order Number ;
2. The item the Client wants to exchange and why (wrong size, etc). All items must be in original conditions, with tags attached, labels and packaging. The customer care service will contact the Client in 1-2 business days.
The Seller will ship the products 10-15 days after the return of the products by the Client.
If the Product is no longer available, the Seller will refund the amount of the initial order, including shipping fees, when the returned product is received by the Seller.
The refund is expected 10-15 days after the return of the products due to bank process.
All returns are free.
X- Warranty
The Products sold are covered by the legal warranties, provided normal use has. been made of them and the care instructions have been followed.
Article L217-4 of the Code de la Consommation (French Consumer Code) : The Seller delivers goods in conformity with the contract and will be held liable for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery.
It will also be held liable to any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging, assembly instructions or installation when this has been charged to it by the contract or has been carried out under its responsibility.
Article L217-5 of the Code de la Consommation (French Consumer Code): The good complies with the contract:
1. If it is suitable for the use usually expected of a similar good and, if applicable:
- if it corresponds to the description given by the seller and has the qualities that the latter presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
- if it has the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect given the public statements made by the seller, the producer or his representative, in particular in advertising or labelling;
2. Or if it has the characteristics defined by mutual agreement by the parties or is suitable for any special use sought by the buyer, brought to the attention of the seller and which the latter has accepted.
Article L217-12 of the Code de la Consommation (French Consumer Code): The action resulting from the lack of conformity lapses two years after delivery of the goods.
Article 1641 of the French Civil Code: The Seller is bound by the warranty for hidden defects in the item sold which make it unfit for the use for which it is intended, or which reduce this use so much that the buyer would have not acquired it, or would have given only a lower price if he had known them.
Article 1648 of the French Civil Code: The action resulting from redhibitory defects must be brought by the buyer within two years from the discovery of the defect. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from the misuse of the product or normal wear and tur due to its use. To be able to benefit from the product warranty, the Client must keep the purchase invoice for the product as the delivery receipt.
XI- Intellectual Property
All elements of the Website are and remain the intellectual and exclusive property of the Seller. No one is authorized to reproduce, use, redistribute, or use for any purpose whatsoever, even partially, elements of the Website whether they aresoftware, visual or sound.
XII- Responsibility and Force Majeure
The Seller shall not be held liable for damage resulting from the use of the Internet such as loss of data, intrusion, virus, interruption of service, or other unintentional problems.
The Seller shall not be held responsible for non-performance of the contract concluded in the event of a fortuitous situation, force majeure, disruption or total or partial strike, in particular of the postal services and means of transport and/or communications, flooding, fire. The Seller will not incur any responsibility for any indirect damages as a result of the present, operating loss, loss of profit, damages or costs, which could occur.
XIII- Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
The law applicable between the Seller and the Client is French Law. French courts will be competent for all disputes which might arise.
In the event of a dispute, the Client is informed that the Seller is willing to seek an out-of-court resolution before taking any legal action. The Client may engage a conventional mediation through a mediator.
